Rhinoplasty, also known as a nose job, allows a skilled cosmetic nasal surgeon to adjust the size, shape and position of your nose. Your nose is easily the most prominent feature of your face and helps to define your appearance to others. If your nose is too small, too large or has an unnatural curve to it, it can dramatically affect your appearance. Fortunately, this can be corrected through Rhinoplasty, which allows Dr. Kevin Sadati to adjust the size and shape of your nose to fit your face.
Nose surgery has been available for decades and Dr. Kevin Sadati is recognized as an expert in his field, having help hundreds of patients and conducted training for other professionals.
How to Find an Expert Nose SurgeonWhen considering a Rhinoplasty, there are a number of things you need to be aware of before selecting a cosmetic nose surgeon. First, you want to find a doctor that has the vast experience and expertise in the field of nasal surgery. Because of complex nasal anatomy there are so many different types of corrections that can be made to change the shape of a nose, it is very important to find an expert facial plastic surgeon that offers a variety of options when it comes to changing your nose.
While some patients may only require a minor procedure to reduce a small bump on their nose, others may need a more complex surgery to reduce their noses size or shape. Dr. Kevin Sadati sub specializes in nasal surgery and has been performing cosmetic nose surgery for over 10 years in Orange County and has a vast amount of experience on all types of corrections to the nose. He will take the time needed before scheduling the procedure to address any concerns you may have and advise you on the wide range of options available. This type of doctor-patient partnership ensures a successful Rhinoplasty that will leave you completely satisfied.
Another important thing to consider when searching for a cosmetic nose surgeon is that Rhinoplasty really affects two important aspects of your nose.It is primarily used to correct structural problems, but also can help a person improve their breathing. Because most Rhinoplasty surgery is used to adjust the cartilage and bone that comprises the nose, great care must be taken to balance any changes made to these structures to maintain and improve breathing. Dr. Kevin Sadati is committed to ensuring this balance and takes a very holistic approach to any nose surgery he performs to ensure a good outcome for the patient in both cosmetic and functional areas.
Revision RhinoplastyAt the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery, a large portion of our practice revolves around correcting and refining patient’s noses that have had Rhinoplasty surgery with another surgeon, and were not happy with their nose job results. Revisional corrections in nasal surgery are the most difficult cases, but they often will result in the happiest patients.
There is no revision Rhinoplasty, or second nose job, problem that Dr. Kevin Sadati considers too challenging to repair. A basic nose surgery may be to simply reduce a hump on the bridge of a patient’s nose, and this type of surgery may only take an hour. A nose that requires more correction, such as the septum, narrowing the base, or changing the tip of the nose might take up to three hours and will be performed comfortably under general anesthesia.
Rhinoplasty CandidateOur goal at the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery, located in Orange County, is to provide an improvement in our patient’s self-esteem. An ideal nose job candidate is both psychologically and medically healthy and ready to take the necessary steps to get the perfect nose that they have always wanted. Furthermore, successful candidates are motivated to get through nasal surgery to fix their nose because of the random insensitive comments from friends, relatives, or associates.
It should be noted that candidates for Rhinoplasty have realistic expectations and have a clear understanding of the risks and possible letdown of a less than perfect outcome. As with any surgery, there are no guarantees written or implied that they will get a perfect celebrity nose. Each patient is different and may experience dissimilar results.
What to Expect in Rhinoplasty Recovery? The average initial recovery phase for nose reshaping is eight days. However, each patient will experience differing levels of recovery. About half of Dr. Kevin Sadati’s patients experience minor bruising around the eyes as a result of surgery, which can last up to a week. A nasal splint is required for recovery and must be worn for seven days after nose surgery. Despite horror stories that you may have heard about, Dr. Kevin Sadati does not use nose packing after his Rhinoplasty surgery.
Nasal packing is an antiquated technique and not part of the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery’s protocol. In fact, Dr. Kevin Sadati has not packed a nasal surgery in over 10 years. The nose will swell inside and out, which will reduce your nasal breathing flow for several weeks. After that, the airway will start to clear and your breathing will return to normal. Your rate of recovery is largely dependent on factors such as genetic background, overall state of health and lifestyle. Doctors are not solely responsible for the healing process. Dr. Kevin Sadati can facilitate, not accelerate, recovery. Post Rhinoplasty healing is largely up to how well you take care of yourself.
Healing from Nose SurgeryYour cooperation is essential. It is imperative that all written and verbal instructions are followed. We set guidelines for our patients in order for them to have a quick nose job recovery, and to prevent the occurrence of any complications during the healing process. The after surgery instruction we provide are specific to each patient, and will give you the best opportunity for healing, so you can go out and enjoy your new nose, sooner rather than later!
Your First 48 Hours After A Nose JobSometimes patients experience a brief “let down” or period of depression after cosmetic surgery. This is mostly due to a set of unrealistic after surgery expectations. Some patients expect instant nose job results and it can be emotionally draining, but know that this too shall pass. Patients commonly question their decision to have Rhinoplasty surgery during the first few days in recovery.
Second-guessing your initial decision is normal and as the healing occurs, these thoughts usually disappear quickly. If you feel depressed, just try to remember that this is a healing process, and there are stages for each phase. Be assured that you have entrusted your looks and your esteem to a highly skilled doctor with many years nose and sinus surgery experience. After your incisions heal and the swelling subsides, you will look and feel nothing less than wonderful!
